Description

Growing up today comes with pressures and changes that can feel overwhelming, not only for children and teenagers but for parents too. Our Holistic Counselling sessions are designed to meet each young person exactly where they are, offering a blend of gentle conversation, creative techniques, and emotional support to help them navigate life’s ups and downs.

Parents are always a vital part of this journey. Your presence, encouragement, and understanding are key to your child’s growth. For this reason, sessions with parents are included as part of the process, ensuring we work together to support your child or teen’s needs both in and outside of the counselling room.

For Children (ages 4–12)
Younger children often struggle to put their feelings into words. They might show their emotions through behaviour like becoming withdrawn, overly sensitive, restless, or easily frustrated. Common challenges include:

  • Difficulty focusing at school

  • Trouble sleeping or frequent nightmares

  • Big emotional outbursts or sudden changes in mood

  • Struggles with self-confidence or making friends

  • Worries, fears, or separation anxiety

In these sessions, we create a safe, playful, and accepting environment where your child can express themselves freely. Using gentle conversation, art activities, mindfulness, and body-based techniques, we help them understand and manage their emotions, build resilience, and feel more secure in themselves.

For Teenagers (ages 13–18)
Teenagers are navigating a time of intense change,  balancing friendships, school pressures, identity, and often a deep need for independence while still craving support. They might experience:

  • Stress or burnout from schoolwork and expectations

  • Social anxiety or difficulty with peer relationships

  • Low self-esteem or body image struggles

  • Emotional overwhelm, mood swings, or withdrawal

  • Difficulty communicating with parents or family

Our sessions offer teens a judgment-free space where they can speak openly about what’s on their mind. We explore healthy coping tools such as mindfulness, visualisation, creative expression, and nervous system resets, always listening to what their emotions and body are telling them. This process helps them feel more grounded, confident, and capable of making choices that reflect their true selves.
