Own Your Power A holistic space for teens to discover their strengths, manage challenges, and step into their authentic selves. Own Your Power is a safe and supportive space for teens navigating ADHD, ADD, or dyslexia. Here, you’ll learn practical tools to manage stress, school pressures, and emotions, while also discovering the strengths and creativity that make you unique. This isn’t about “fixing” you, it’s about helping you feel confident, calm, and proud of who you are. For the parents, we believe you play a vital role in assisting your teen not only at this crucial age, but also in supporting them with their uniqueness. We are here to guide the parent as well on how to best support their teen.
For the Teen
Being a teenager is already a lot, and when you have ADHD, ADD, or dyslexia, it can feel like even more.
You might notice things like:
Your heart racing or stomach knots when you’re stressed or trying to focus
Feeling restless, fidgety, or unable to sit still when everyone else seems fine
Struggling to finish tasks or homework, no matter how hard you try
Getting frustrated when your brain jumps faster than your words can keep up
Feeling embarrassed or “different” when school feels harder than it should
Comparing yourself to friends and thinking, “Why is it so easy for them?”
Wanting to shut down, withdraw, or even explode when the pressure feels too much
If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not broken, you’re human. Your brain simply works differently, and that difference can be a strength once you know how to work with it.
Own Your Power is a space made for you. Here, we’ll:
Show you calming tools to handle big feelings and stress in your body
Teach you focus tricks and practical strategies for school and daily life
Use creativity, art, and movement to help your brain reset and recharge
Explore how to see your differences as superpowers, not flaws
Help you feel proud of who you are, without trying to “fit into a box”
Parenting a teen with ADHD, ADD, or dyslexia can feel like walking through unknown territory. You may worry about their future, their confidence, or their ability to keep up. In our work, we also create space for you, offering insight into your teen’s world, strategies to support them at home and school, and tools to reduce stress in the whole family.
